In rare instances, Mac users running High Sierra and trying to print to PawPrint receive an error such as "ERROR: undefinedresult. OFFENDING COMMAND: xshow." This has been observed at Davidson and at other campuses.
In some cases with Word documents, users have had luck with changing the document contents to use a different font (specifically not Calibri though others have also been cited). There are reports that once a document has been edited on a High Sierra machine, it can take the problem with it back to older Mac OSes and even Windows.
A solution that works consistently is to convert your document to a PDF, then use the steps below to print your file as an image.
Open your PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (free) or Adobe Acrobat DC (part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite).
Note: If you double-click on the PDF file and it opens in an application other than the Adobe apps above, then the easiest workaround it to launch the Adobe product first, then use File > Open to open your PDF document.
Once the PDF is open in either Reader or Acrobat DC, select File > Print...
On the Print dialog box:
Select the PawPrint printer to which you'd like to print.
Click on the Advanced button.
On the Advanced Print Setup dialog box:
Select the Print As Image check box.
Click on the OK button to close the dialog box.
Back on the Print dialog box, click on the Print button to initiate the printing process.
