Moodle is scheduled to be updated from version 3.11 to version 4.1 on June 5-6, 2023.
Project Basics & Timeline
Moodle, Davidson's learning management system, is scheduled to be updated to the latest Version 4 release in June of 2023. T&I is currently working with Library staff to identify and document major changes and improvements to the user interface and core features and workflows.
The upgrade itself will begin on June 5, 2023, but the run up starts in January, on the following schedule:
January/February 2023: Solicit pilot testers and gather faculty feedback concerns.
March 6, 2023: Development server online. Pilot test begins.
March/April 2023: Pilot testing continues. T&I and Digital Learning revise existing documentation, and create new documents as required.
May 5, 2023: Deadline for pilot testing feedback.
May 2023: Documentation continues.
June 5-6, 2023: Upgrade between midnight and 6 AM.
June 6, 2023: Development server off-line, Moodle 4 available.
