When graduating from Davidson, you may wish to save important emails from your time here at the College. Davidson T&I highly recommends moving specific emails you wish to keep, and not exporting your full mailbox.
Davidson T&I can assist with exporting your email using Outlook, however, we are not able to ensure import compatibility with your personal accounts.
Please note that Outlook files are designed to be imported into another existing Outlook account. In particular, there is no supported method to transfer an Outlook export file (.olm or .pst) to a Gmail account.
Moving Specific Emails
One option to move emails is to forward specific, individual emails you may need to a personal email address.
You can also sign into a personal Microsoft account on the Outlook app, and copy emails directly from your Davidson inbox into your personal inbox.
- On Macs, you can add an account by selecting Tools> Accounts from the top menu.
- On Windows, you can add your account by selecting File> Account Setting.
