The Newline Q Pro interactive display is a new way to display information and media to your classes. Below are a variety of common questions and answers about this new device. As always, if you have questions, please contact ti@davidson.edu.
Source Options
You can use the display as a way to project the screen of your own device -- wired or wirelessly. In Wall 307, the podium input is HDMI 2 and the HDMI cable is HDMI 3-- the input will automatically swap upon connection.
Wired Connections
The display supports direct connections via USB-C and HDMI, and will hot-swap to the most recent connection. USB-C and HDMI cables are available in the classroom, and the ports to connect them are located to the lower left of the display
Casting Wirelessly to the Newline Display
You can cast wirelessly to the display using either a web URL, Airplay, or a dedicated app.
- Using Airplay (MacOS, iOS, iPadOS)
- Using the dedicated DisplayNote app (iOS, iPadOS)
- Using the dedicated DisplayNote app (MacOS, Windows)
- Using a web address.
