How to switch between open applications in macOS
- Hold down the command key and keep it down.
- Press the tab key and you will cycle through all of the open applications on your Mac. When the application to which you would like to switch is highlighted, release the command key.
- You can also use command-shift-tab to cycle backward through your open applications.
Alternatively, swipe up on the touchpad with three fingers to view the windows of open apps, allowing you to quickly switch between programs.
