One user-friendly feature of the Power BI Report Server on data.davidson.edu is it allows you to tag your favorite reports for quick and easy access. Any reports you tag as favorites will become visible under the Favorites heading in the web portal header (directly below the Davidson logo), and the Favorites heading will thereafter become your default landing page whenever you access the server.
Adding a new report to your favorites
To add a report to your favorites, simply click on the report's context menu (...) in the upper-right corner, then select "Add to Favorites."
Once you have added a report to your favorites, a black star will appear in the upper-right corner of the report tile, alongside the context menu. From that point on, you'll be able see it from the "Favorites" heading.
One important thing to note about this feature is that, once you have "favorited" any reports, the "Favorites" heading will become your default landing page whenever you go to data.davidson.edu from then on. If you anticipate that you'll be using a particular report very often, like on a daily or weekly basis, it's a great idea to use the "Add to Favorites" feature so that you'll have quicker access in the future.
Removing a report from your favorites
Similar to when adding a report to your favorites, removing it can be accomplished by clicking on the report's context menu (...) and selecting "Remove from Favorites." At this point, the black star will disappear from the top-right corner of the report tile, and the report will no longer show up under the "Favorites" heading on data.davidson.edu.
