T&I is in the process of upgrading our Microsoft Office 365 license for Mac. As part of this upgrade, anyone using older versions of Microsoft Office will be prompted to update to the latest version by October 20, 2020. This article provides detailed information and instructions for Mac users.
How will I be notified if I need to upgrade?
If you are using the older version, you will receive a weekly pop-up message on your device with instructions to download and install the update.
When I see the pop-up message, how should I proceed?
Why wait? Go ahead and install if it is a good time to do so. Remember, you’ll need to update before October 20, 2020.
Once the installation is complete, what can I expect?
- Your icons will look slightly different.
- You’ll need to activate your license. To do so, open any Microsoft Office application, such as Microsoft Outlook, click the application name in the upper left (next to the Apple icon) and select Activate Office.
- You will be prompted to sign in with your Davidson credentials, including Duo.
