Duo Verification Required Prompts

Starting July 29, 2026, Davidson's Technology & Innovation team is making a behind-the-scenes update to how multi-factor authentication (MFA) works for many of the applications you sign into with your Davidson account. This is part of a required update to keep our sign-in security current and supported.

Duo Verification Required Prompts

As part of a required security update, Duo prompts now include an additional verification step that your computer will display as part of the sign in and Duo prompt process. Your browser will complete these steps as needed, and will prompt you for any additional steps needed for that sign in.

All programs and applications you access via Davidson Single-Sign-On will still require you to enter your Davidson username and password as usual.

However, you also may notice a Verification Required screen appear with a Continue button. Clicking Continue will then briefly show a Redirecting screen before finalizing the log in. Always remember to check your phone for Duo Pushes if you see a Check for Duo Push screen during your log in process. Screenshots are below for reference.

If a sign-in doesn't work as expected, please contact the T&I Help Desk at ti@davidson.edu.

Stay Alert with Duo Prompts

Remember, never accept a DUO push for an application you are not currently trying to sign in to. If you receive a DUO push you are not expecting, report this to T&I immediately.
