Updating Your Davidson Credentials

If you used LastPass to store your Davidson credentials, it is key that you update your Davidson email address and password. This step should be taken regardless of if you used a personal LastPass account, or a Davidson LastPass Enterprise account.

MacOS Users

  1. Log in with your current username and password.
Note: If you are off campus, you will need to connect to the Cisco VPN first.

  2. In the upper left corner, click on the Apple icon.

  3. In the drop-down menu, select System Preferences.

  4. In the System Preferences dialog box, click on the Users & Groups icon.

  5. Click on your name in the left frame.

  6. With your name highlighted in the left frame, click on the Change Password button to the right.

  7. Follow the prompts to reset your password using a minimum of 14 characters. There are no other character requirements.
Note: Do not use a password you have previously used anywhere on the internet, or a variant of a past password. We recommend passphrases as they may be easier to remember.

  8. If you use a LastPass browser extension, you may be prompted to update this credential in LastPass. Please do not update your LastPass account to include your new Davidson credential.

Windows Users

  2. Press the Ctrl, Alt and Delete keys simultaneously. On Apple keyboards (a dual-boot iMac, for example), the keys will be labeled control, option, and delete.

  3. Select Change a password and follow the prompts to reset your password using a minimum of 14 characters. There are no other character requirements.
Note: Do not use a password you have previously used anywhere on the internet, or a variant of a past password. We recommend passphrases as they may be easier to remember.

  4. If you use a LastPass browser extension, you may be prompted to update this credential in LastPass. Please do not update your LastPass account to include your new Davidson credential.
