About the Transition from EMS

The move from EMS to Ad Astra is part of an ongoing project to modernize campus software. The version of EMS that Davidson has been using for nearly twenty years is no longer being actively supported by the company that publishes the software.

Ad Astra is built on a cloud-based platform that better meets the needs of Davidson both now and in the future.

What about My Existing EMS Bookings?

Events booked in EMS will be migrated into Ad Astra between June 26 and July 6. If you have existing events booked in EMS, you do not need to do anything. Your events will be automatically transferred. If there is a question about your event once it is migrated, the space approver or T&I staff will reach out to you.

If you have any questions, or want to make sure the technical team is aware of a specific use case, please email ti@davidson.edu.
